Paste Previous Note Options

There are two options at the Practice Settings level regarding the "Paste Previous" note feature: 
  1. Previous Note
  2. Select from 5 Previous Notes

Please note: this is a global setting for all professionals within the account.

After scheduling an appointment, access the details by clicking on the appointment, then proceed by selecting the 'Add Note' option.



Click on 'Paste Previous Note' in the upper-right corner to quickly copy the notes from either your previous session or to choose the note from your last five sessions. 




IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

In the case that you have not written a note during your last session, the "Paste Previous Note" button will be greyed out and you will receive the following message when you hover over it: 

If you have a different note template selected, the button will also be greyed out and you will receive this error message when hovering over it:

For GROUP practices -- if you have a client that sees multiple clinicians, you will ONLY have access to your own past five session notes. 

The five notes that are available for selection will be the past five written session notes (if you have not written a note for a session, it will not appear as one of the five available for selection). 

If you utilized a different note template for any of the five notes available for pasting forward, you will see the message "Cannot paste: Different note type." If you are hoping to paste forward that note, you will need to exit the pop-up, select the same note template type and then refresh your page. When you press "Paste Previous Note" again, you will then see the blue "Paste this note" button next to those sessions with the matching session note type.
