Prevent Professionals from Editing Their Auto-sign Note Settings

Overview

Administrators now have the ability to control whether Basic Professionals can edit their own auto‑sign note settings. This permission helps practices maintain consistent documentation standards and prevents accidental or unauthorized changes to auto‑sign behavior.

What This Setting Does

When this restriction is enabled:

  • Basic Professionals cannot change their auto‑sign preferences.

  • Their auto‑sign settings appear as read‑only.

  • Admin‑level users retain full control over auto‑sign configuration for all team members.

  • Practices can ensure notes are signed according to internal policies and compliance requirements.

How to Enable or Disable This Restriction

  1. Go to Settings - Account Settings - Practice Settings

  2. Select the Default tab

  3. Check the box labeled 'Prevent professionals from editing their auto-sign note setting'.

  • ENABLED → Basic Professionals can update their own auto‑sign settings.

  • DISABLED → Auto‑sign settings are locked and only Admins/Owners can make changes.
